Privacy Policy

Summary
MentalCraft is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not require an account and we do not collect names, emails, or payment details. Assessment result history and anonymous product analytics are optional. You can use the screening tools without enabling either. Paid checkout is separate from assessment answers.
What We Collect
Assessment Responses You Choose to Save
When you choose to save anonymous result history, your answers, score, severity level, assessment type, and submission time are stored in our database with a random browser-generated identifier. If you do not choose this option, the result is calculated for the current session and is not written to result history.
Optional Anonymous Product Analytics
If you allow anonymous analytics, we collect first-party product analytics such as page URL, referrer, language, random visitor ID, random session ID, and assessment flow events. These events may include broad resource filters and resource IDs that you open, but not your search words, assessment answers, scores, or severity labels. These IDs are stored in your browser's local storage and are used only to understand aggregate product usage. If you select essential-only, these analytics IDs are not created by MentalCraft. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking scripts.
Aggregate Checkout Counts
When a paid-guide checkout link is opened, MentalCraft may update a daily aggregate counter by locale, page surface, and non-sensitive campaign source when present. If you arrive with UTM campaign labels, we may keep those labels in session storage and attach them to checkout for attribution. This counter does not store IP address, user agent, referrer, score, item answers, visitor ID, session ID, email, or payment details.
Server Logs
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may collect standard server logs including IP addresses for security and performance purposes. We do not access or process these logs for analytics or identification purposes.
How We Use Optional Data
Optional anonymous data may be used in aggregate to:
- Improve the quality and accuracy of our screening tools
- Understand which pages and assessment flows need improvement
- Generate anonymous aggregate statistics only when they cannot identify a person
We will never attempt to identify individual users from aggregate data.
Annual Index and Aggregate Reporting
MentalCraft may publish aggregate reports about AI use and mental health, including the planned World AI & Mental Health Index. Ordinary screening does not create individual public claims. Any optional analytics or saved history used for aggregate reporting must follow this privacy notice, consent where required, and data minimization.
GDPR-Oriented Controls
Health-related screening answers can be sensitive. MentalCraft therefore uses data minimization, optional consent controls, no account profiles, and no advertising trackers. For users in the European Economic Area, optional saved result history and optional analytics are based on your choice. You can withdraw future participation by selecting essential-only analytics and by not saving result history.
Data Storage
Assessment data is stored on Cloudflare's global infrastructure. Your anonymous respondent ID and optional analytics IDs are stored in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data will remove these IDs, and saved history may no longer be accessible to you.
Third Parties
We do not sell your data. Cloudflare provides hosting infrastructure and security services. Stripe processes paid checkout if you choose to buy a guide. MentalCraft does not transfer your assessment score or item answers to Stripe.
Children
MentalCraft is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used our services, please contact us.
Your Rights
You may request access, deletion, restriction, or portability where applicable. Because we do not collect names, emails, or accounts, we may need the anonymous browser ID stored on your device to locate saved result history. You can also clear local storage to remove the local ID and break your own access to saved history.
