About MentalCraft
Our Mission
Mental health screening should be private, clear, and economically sustainable. MentalCraft exists to lower confusion between people and evidence-based mental health information. We believe that understanding your mental health is the first step toward getting help.
Our Methodology
Every assessment on MentalCraft is a clinically validated instrument published in peer-reviewed medical journals. We do not create our own questionnaires. Instead, we implement established screening tools that healthcare providers already use worldwide:
- PHQ-9 — the gold standard for depression screening, developed by Drs. Kroenke, Spitzer, and Williams
- GAD-7 — validated anxiety screening by Spitzer, Kroenke, Williams, and Löwe
- PSS-10 — the world's most widely used stress measure by Cohen, Kamarck, and Mermelstein
- PCL-5 — DSM-5 PTSD checklist from the National Center for PTSD
- ASRS-v1.1 — WHO-developed adult ADHD screener by Kessler et al.
- ISI — insomnia severity assessment by Morin et al.
- MDQ — bipolar spectrum screening by Hirschfeld et al.
- AUDIT — WHO alcohol use screening instrument
- K10 — psychological distress scale used by governments worldwide
- EPDS — the Edinburgh scale for perinatal depression by Cox, Holden, and Sagovsky
Each instrument includes its original citation. Scoring follows the published clinical thresholds.
Annual Index
MentalCraft is building toward an annual World AI & Mental Health Index. The index is meant to track AI literacy, AI agent readiness, reflection load, and trust in AI health advice with lawful aggregate data and local context, not individual profiling.
Ordinary screening is not enrollment in a study. Optional analytics and saved result history are governed by the privacy policy, consent where required, and deletion or access paths.
Important Limitations
Self-report screening tools are not diagnostic instruments. They are designed to identify individuals who may benefit from further clinical evaluation. Only a qualified healthcare provider can make a diagnosis.
Screening results can be affected by many factors including your current mood, recent events, medication, physical health conditions, and how you interpret questions. A single screening result should never be used as the sole basis for treatment decisions.
Privacy First
Mental health is deeply personal. MentalCraft is designed to avoid account-based identity and advertising surveillance:
- No account required — ever
- No name, email, or profile required
- Anonymous browser history only when you choose to save results
- Anonymous product analytics only after opt-in
- No advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies
- No data sold to third parties
